Legal translation is the translation of texts within the field of law into another foreign language, a particularly difficult thing to do given the complexity of legal language in its original language. Indeed, legal translators can often make or break a case, because the accuracy of the legal translation is often of the utmost importance. When translating a text within the field of law, translators must be mindful of the legal system of the source text and the way it is structured, and fashion the translation in such a way that someone familiar with a different legal systems and language can understand it.
